GOVERNMENT AGENCIES The following are services you may need to contact both when you move, as well as for problems or questions.
- Motor Vehicles - While we all dread the inevitable visit to the MVD, after you have moved to Las Cruces, you will need to drop by and establish your residency as required by New Mexico State law by obtaining your NM drivers license. With a new larger facility the State has moved forward to accommodate your needs even more efficiently. For an added fee you can also get all the basic registration and licensing at the MVD Express. Faster service and less time.
- Postal Services - Las Cruces has several United States Postal offices throughout the community. Whether you decide to live in Dona Ana, Mesilla, or anywhere in the city, you will find a full service office near your new neighborhood. You will find a full description of services available and locations.
- Tax Information (City, County and State)
You'll want to know all the tax benefits you will enjoy while living in Dona Ana County and the great Land of Enchantment. You can also calculate just how little you'll be paying in taxes on your property. They provide you with a tax calculator you can find in the "Tax Research" section of the county website.
- County Government Services-
Dona Ana County is one of 33 counties in the state of New Mexico. It was created in 1852 and is the second-most populated county in the state. The county seat, Las Cruces, has been ranked as one of the fastest growing communities in the Unites States. For the past decade. Dona Ana County's 800+ employees are proud participants in the national Character Counts! Initiative to promote ethics in the workplace.
