The old adobe complex, with its elegant gate that's a popular subject for local artists, also contains Josefina's Restaurant, Historical Inn, Old Gate Antiques and a day spa. It's now owned by relatives of the original family. Expect a warm welcome.

The La Posta de Mesilla Restaurant is located in the La Posta Compound, which was originally constructed in the 1840's. The Compound became an important stop on the Butterfield Stagecoach line, and one of the finest lodging on the route. San Albino Church was established in 1851, making it one of the oldest missions in the Mesilla Valley. The current building was constructed on the foundation of the original adobe church.

Built in 1905, the Fountain Theatre is New Mexico's oldest movie house, and in the early days, presented both cinema and vaudeville performances. The theatre is still owned by a member of the Fountain family. In addition to being the oldest theatre in New Mexico, the Fountain Theatre also bears the distinction of being the only continuously-operating movie theatre in the state.more
