So how do you go about selling your property when you have pets?
Here are some of the best tips to prepare for selling your home. While some of these may not apply to your particular situation, be aware of all of them.

1. Remove Pets During Showings.

When selling a home with pets, if you have not relocated them, you should remove your them from your home while you are showing the property if possible.
Ideally you should have a real estate agent showing the home, preferably while you are away. Having a pet in the house or yard can create complications for the agent.
There are also liability issues to deal with as well. When you leave your pet home during showings you are asking for trouble especially if a buyer brings a young child and they are curious.
There are times where it may not be possible to remove a pet from a home. Your next best option is to put them in a contained space and let the Real Estate agent know about it.
